Protecting an editorial and spiritual legacy with a modern, dynamic resilience protocol.
The Historical Archive of the Società San Paolo is a treasure trove of memory spanning a century of Italian history. Heritup, with the support of DTC Lazio and in collaboration with the CNR Laboratory for the Protection of Built Heritage and Cultural Landscapes at Risk from Climate Change and Extreme Natural and Anthropogenic Events, has developed a protection ecosystem for this institution that transforms passive conservation into active prevention, ensuring the past continues to speak to the future.
Our Intervention Strategy
We applied a tailored method to meet the needs of a unique archival heritage:
- Specific Risk Analysis: In-depth study of vulnerabilities related to paper, photographic, and multimedia supports.
- Heritup App Implementation: Digitalization of the Security and Emergency Plan (MSEP) for fluid and immediate procedure management.
- Specialized Training: Staff training focused on the safe handling of historical assets during emergencies.
- Rescue Exercise: Practical simulation to test the effectiveness of the evacuation plan for the most precious works.
- Bureau Veritas Certification: Processes fully compliant with ISO 9001 standards for maximum quality assurance.
“Guarding an archive means protecting the identity of an institution and its mission over time.”
